How to sign a PDF online
- Open the editor and choose Open your files to add the PDF you need to sign.
- Choose Sign. Draw your signature in the box, or upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image of it (up to 5 MB).
- Choose Place signature, then move and resize it on the page. Use Add text to type a date or your printed name.
- Choose Review & download to check the signed copy and download it.
Good to know
- This adds a visual signature, like signing a printed page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature.
- If a recipient requires a certified digital signature, use a dedicated e-signature service instead.
- PDFs that are already digitally signed cannot be edited, because changing them would invalidate the existing signature.
- Your signature drawing or image stays in your browser unless you choose to save the project to your account.
Questions
Will a drawn signature be accepted?
It depends on who receives the document. Many forms and agreements accept a visual signature; check the recipient’s requirements if you are unsure.
Can I sign a PDF on my phone?
Yes. The editor works in mobile browsers, and you can draw your signature with your finger.
Can I add the date next to my signature?
Yes. Use Add text to type the date anywhere on the page.
Does Filezumi keep a copy of my signature?
No. The signature is processed in your browser. It is only stored if you sign in and save the project.
