Questions

Why is the text no longer selectable after compressing?

Compression turns each page into an image to reduce its size, which removes selectable text and form fields. Keep an uncompressed copy if you need them.

Will my PDF always reach the size I choose?

Not always. Image-heavy or long documents may not reach small targets. Removing unneeded pages usually helps.

Should I compress before or after filling a form?

After. Compression removes fillable fields, so fill and sign the form first.
