How to fill PDF forms online

  1. Open the editor and choose Open your files to add your PDF form. It opens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
  2. Open the Fields tab to see every standard field. Type your answers, tick checkboxes and pick options from lists.
  3. If the form is a flat scan with no fields, use Add text and Checkmark to place answers directly on the page.
  4. Choose Review & download. Preflight warns about answers that overflow their boxes before you download.

Questions

Is filling a PDF form free?

Yes. Filling, previewing and downloading are free, with no watermark and no account.

Is my form uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is opened and filled in your browser. Cloud saving is optional and only happens if you sign in and choose to save.

Why can’t I type into my form?

Some PDFs are flat images with no fields. Use Add text to type on the page instead. XFA-only forms need to be saved or printed as a standard PDF in their original app first.

Will the downloaded form still be editable?

Yes, when you download a single PDF without combining it with other files. Its standard form fields stay fillable.
